TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOAT HIRE AND Charter
1 Day hire hours are between10:00 - 17:00 hrs
2 The hirer is liable for our excess of £500 should a claim be made
3 Hirers are responsible for any loss or damage (a day hire is a maximum of 6 hours) unless agreed otherwise
4 Deposit required £100 cash per hire and proof of ID i.e. driving licence (over 18 years old
only) No all male parties unless agreed and a £500 cash damage deposit plus drivers licence will required
5 Price includes fuel, river licence and insurance use of life jackets
5 Payment is required before commencement of hire
6 Henley Royal Regatta/Festival prices on application
7 Bookings are requeste by telephone or email
8 Self-drive hires are subject to river conditions (any cancellations due to the river conditions will be re-booked at a later date and time to suit both SRB plu the client)
9 Any dangerous behaviour or erratic driving of the boat will not be tolerated and the hire will
be terminated immediately
10 We recommend everyone wears a life jacket at all times and to keep your life jackets on and done up at all times
11 Children and non swimmers must wear life jackets at all times
12 Children must be supervised at all times
13 Swimming from the boat is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
14 We reserve the right to cancel the hire at anytime ie for dangerous driving, rocking the boat, river conditions or if we think boat is not being used for private use etc
15 BOOKING can be requested for a day hire ( max of 6 hours unless agreed otherwise ) between 10am - 5.30pm
Navigation
1 Keep to the right hand side of the navigation channel maximum speed 5mph or no wash
2 HENLEY BRIDGE Use the right hand arch next to the centre arch the main arch is for large boats
Do not use the outer arches
3 Do not enter the rowing course during any Regatta at anytime it is an offence
4 Heed any navigational signs especially during Regatta and follow any orders
given by any River Authority Patrol Officer or official.
5 Keep a constant lookout for any rowing boats especially behind you they can approach fast
6 Keep hands and limbs in the boat at all times especially when mooring up.
7 Always follow the Lock Keepers or river Authority Inspectors instructions
when in the lock and do not tie up, keep the boat alongside using ropes around the bollards so as to allow the boat to go up and down with the water levels
8 Be courteous to other river users and keep your distance
THE DESIGNATED DRIVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE BOAT
AND EVERYONE ONBOARD AT ALL TIMES AND MUST NOT BE
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR SUBSTANCES AT ANY TIME 21 years of age we require ID
Please note that all the land along the river is Private so be prepared to pay a mooring fee to the Landowner if you moor up. Do not moor if there are NO MOORING signs displayed.
