Steve, I can't thank you enough for enabling me to give my cousins from the USA a day out that they will remember for the rest of their lives. The boat was fantastic, very comfortable and really easy to drive. None of them had ever seen a lock before and the experience of taking your boat through eight of them made the day a great adventure, especially for the children who at 10 and 11 were able to join in so much.

While posting pictures of our son's Henley races on the internet, I came across the pictures I took from your boat as we followed our team during their second day of racing. They brought back such delightful memories of a wonderful day! You and Pat along with Freddy and Jasper made us feel very welcome. We particularly appreciated how you put on Regatta Radio so we could hear the commentary as well as see our boys up close. Some of the pictures I took that were the best received were the ones at the recovery dock when the coaches came down to congratulate the team. One of the alumnus, who has been to Henley on a number of occasions, said he had never seen shots from that vantage point before. I told him next time he goes he should rent your boat! We also enjoyed our cruise further down the river. Everything was just so magical and perfect. Our ride in the Willow Brook was one of the highlights of our trip to England, and one we will remember fondly!

We are at the end of our two years on the Thames and mooring at Henley is one of our favourite spots. Earlier this year my wife Jennifer seriously injured her back and had to go to hospital by ambulance. Steve was a great help letting the Ambulance into the field and next day a taxi which brought her back to the boat. We would both like to thank him very much.
We have always found Steve friendly and helpful and his dedication to collecting mooring fees knows no bounds. (only kidding)

While on holiday in Henley during the Festival six of us had a magical river trip, listening to the concert and enjoying the atmosphere of the festivities. (We were even allowed to bring our two dogs with us.)
We had a very relaxed journey and would look forward to another trip with SRB in the future.

We’ve been mooring with SRB Moorings in Henley for several years. Steve has always gone above and beyond our expectations with his help and support. When we were marooned in the floods of 2007 for 23 nights Steve was on hand to assist with essential supplies such as water (the longest hose we’ve EVER seen!) and on call to inform us of any boat-related problems whilst we struggled in to work. When we were stranded on the wrong side of the river a couple of years back he arranged to pick us up and deliver us safely back to our boat… and he’s always gone out of his way to provide the mooring we require (too deep, too shallow, too quiet, too noisy, too many sheep, too many geese, too windy…you name it, he sorts it and finds us the perfect spot!). Over the years he’s helped us with anything and everything, and always with a smile…It’s just a shame he wasn’t on hand to point out that our anchor was still down when we cruised up the Festival Course in full view of everyone this year… but then again, no one’s perfect!

Re SRB Moorings, Henley. We would just like to say a huge THANKYOU to Steve of SRB Moorings for all the help he has given us over the years. He makes our visits to Henley so enjoyable with his cheerfulness, and his advice. I am disabled and he has advised us the best places to moor so folk can visit us by car, he knows the best eating places to go to for access, the list is endless! Indeed just after our arrival yesterday, he noticed we were struggling with our new satellite tv system. He immediately offered to help us technophobic pensioners to set it up and did so much to our delight. The moorings always feel safe and secure under Steves watchful eye, they are always well kept and tidy, it makes our yearly visits to Henley a MUST. We tell all our friends to stop and have a break here as Steve and his wife Pat make it so worthwhile.Once again our heartfelt thanks to Steve SRB Moorings

'WONDERFUL SUPPORT Sir,- I refer to your story concerning stranded boat owners vowing to boycott the town and would like to offer an alternative view shared by many boaters who were stranded downstream of Henley Bridge, adjacent to the Regatta marquees
The assurance and support given by both Steve of SRB Moorings, and the staff and security personnel from the Regatta could not have been better. Materials were made available to hold us off the river bank and water and toilets from Regatta were left available as long as possible.
Like the boaters at Mill Meadows, we had to overcome minor inconveniences on our boat 'Meerkat', but this was undertaken in a spirit of camaraderie which brought an element of enjoyment to our extended stay.
Far from boycotting the town in future, our experience has merely re-enforced our liking of Henley -

We would like to thank Steve for his generosity and helpfulness. Just earlier today, while towing our boat to Henley, we endured a blow-out on the trailer. Luckily we found a spare but to our despair it was flat. We were able to phone Steve and he was more than helpful by allowing us to borrow his pump. In the end, we were able to get our boat to the river where Steve will be watching over it until the Traditional Boat Show next weekend. Without his help we would have found ourselves in much more of a bind and we are grateful for his generosity.

We're great fans of helpful Steve at SRB Moorings. Recently, our motor cruiser pulled out a mooring stake due to surge caused by passing umpire launches. Steve, who usually keeps a weather eye on the craft moored at his bankside moorings was there in a flash, and provided an temporary replacement pin. As we were off the boat at the time (shopping), it could have turned into an even more expensive afternoon. Thank you Steve!
