Terms and Conditions
1) Day hire hours are between 10am and 5.00pm
2) Day hire is up to six hours and boats must be back by 5.00pm at the latest.
3) Booking and reserving a boat is made over the phone and is paid in full at the time of booking.
4) Refunds will NOT be given after the booking has been accepted and monies paid.
5) All crew members must be present at the time of hand over and no additional crew members will be added during the hire.
6) The hirer is liable for our excess of £500 should an insurance claim be made. Hirers are responsible for any loss or damage.
7) The hire of the boat is strictly for private use only. No commercial use of any type. The passengers must remain the same and no additional passengers to be added.
8) The price includes fuel, river licence, insurance and the use of life jackets.
9) Self drive hire is subject to river conditions, cancellations due to river conditions will be rebooked at a later date that suits both SRB and the hirer.
10) We recommend everyone wears a life jacket at all times. Children and non swimmers must wear a life jacket at all times.
11) Boats must be driven in a safe and sensible manner at all times.
12) Swimming from the boat is dangerous and strictly forbidden.
13) The designated driver is responsible for the safety of the boat and passengers and must not be under the influence of alcohol or substances.
14) The Driver must be at least 21 years of age and have ID.
NAVIGATION
1) Boats must keep to the main river and not divert off onto other rivers and backwaters. (These can be shallow with underwater obstructions)
2) Keep to the right hand side of the navigation channel with a maximum speed of 5mph
3) Heed any navigational signs and orders from a River Authority patrol officer or an Official.
4) Always keep a constant look out for swimmers and obstacles and give way to all non powered craft.
5) Be courteous to other river users and keep your distance.
6) Reduce your speed near moored boats and navigate away from them.
We reserve the right to cancel the hire at anytime with no refunds given.
